A modern Canadian summer cottage

Inevitably I find myself drawn to certain themes and styles, and the work of certain favourite designers time and time again. This definitely holds true for the work of two of my own personal style icons - Michelle Lloyd and Christine Ralphs. Now working as Lloyd Ralphs design based in Toronto and Miami, they spent years working together as the creative heads at the inception of the Club Monaco brand. Translating that distinctive, modern-classic style to interiors their spaces are predominately black and white mixed with neutrals and a restrained touch of ethnic and antique pieces.

Here their signature style is translated to a Canadian summer tradition - a cottage in the Muskokas. Surrounded by trees and 360 degree view of the water, their minimal style allows the natural beauty of the surrounding area to be a focal point. With lots of touches of soft ethnic textiles, art and more unique selections like the mother of pearl Moroccan stool in the bathroom for a thoroughly modern look with timeless appeal.

I love the pillows in the first photo on the couch. Do you know where they are from?
