LoversLand, Toronto

After visiting a favourite restaurant on Ossington Ave a little while ago, I was drawn into a new boutique that had opened a couple doors down. LoversLand is a unique concept store, created as a bridal boutique that not only carries wedding dresses for the bride and bridal party, but also gifts for a couple, outfits and accessories and for the honeymoon and the home - and lots of lovely things for those of us not getting married as well :). Designed by the firm Castor, the front of the shop is a bright and airy boutique with open shelving, and in the back there is a lacy tent containing the bridal wear, and a private space for individual appointments. Fitting with the romantic theme of the store, there is a installation of neon bulbs spelling out "xoxo" by the staircase. I think it's really fun and unique space with lots of lovely treasures to be found.
