Autumn is clearly in full swing and I always find myself feeling an extra nesting instinct, to really settle in and prepare for what's to come (winter!) Cozy, comfortable spaces with a bit more of a traditional leaning seem to fit the season perfectly. This lovely family space by Nashville based designer Stephanie Sabbe fits the bill just perfectly. Fresh, modern and bright (to let as much of the shorter daylight in) but still cozy and intimate, with traditional elements - like the classic leather chesterfield sofa - that make you want to curl up with a good book on a grey day.
Love the linear chandelier in brass mixed with the Serge Mouille floor lamp in the corner. Little details like the window frames being painted in a warm grey vs. the expect white, add a bit of architectural interest and make the space feel more warm.
The well worn leather chesterfield is juxtaposed with the graphic black and white rug. A clever inset in the wall for wood storage adds a bit of a warm, rustic touch.
This dark grey cabinet paired with warm brass creates a focal point in the otherwise all white space and really makes the rainbow collection of colourful books pop!
These's an easy flow between the living area and this classic all white and carrara marble kitchen. The herb garden in the window adds a lovely fresh touch.
