Rustic minimal: a modern home in Gatineau Hills, Quebec

The terms rustic, minimal and modern don't often coincide. This beautiful home in Gatineau Hills, Quebec, designed by Canadian architect Christopher Simmonds finds a balance between modern minimal and natural rustic using rustic reclaimed wood details juxtaposed with sleek white steel and glass. The wood adds a sense of warmth and history, and also makes the place blend more easily with its surrounding natural environment in the Canadian countryside.  A perfect modern country retreat - complete with swimming pool.

Your house is beautiful and you have the touch Marty! You made it happy with all that gold and yes, never thought gold would be Summery, but it is and I love it! The tangerine is awesome and very classy, indeed. Thank you for sharing.
Have a great weekend.
