There have been several examples of oversized Mohammed Ali photos used in interiors recently, including a specially commissioned one in our home (more to come on this later). I love how they pack a bit of punch and add a little bit of edge to even the most classic or neutral of spaces. However, in keeping with the focus of the moment (World Cup!) and the biggest passion in our house - football - I thought it would be nice to source a vintage photo of the man still considered by many to be football's Greatest Of All Time - Pelé. Though long retired, the brilliantly talented Brazilian player is still highly revered within football circles and even listed as Time magazine's 100 most influential people of the 20th century. At the moment, I'm trying to source a great black and white shot to frame at home as a little non-gaudy homage to 'The Beautiful Game' - it was, in fact, Pelé who first coined this phrase.
