Black, white and beige - a striking home in Ottawa

This sophisticated space in Ottawa, Ontario caught my eye right away. Bold and dramatic, yet also, calm and sophisticated this space shows the impact and ease of using one simple and consistent colour palette - black, white and beige. While everything is kept within this limited palette, the space is decidedly un-boring with thoughtfully selected pieces and playful art throughout.

A dramatic but very neutral living area boasts an all black wall which cleverly hides the tv floating above the fireplace.

A midcentury modern credenza, a Moroccan beni ourain rug and cream coloured Giancarlo Piretti side chairs lighten up the other side of the room.

A framed Hermes scarf becomes a beautiful piece of art behind the sofa.

A seriously sultry home office with dark ebonized cabinetry and one dramatic statement desk.

A sleek and bright kitchen in black and white, with honey toned wood and brass pendants to add warmth.

The dining room is one of my most favourite rooms in this home, with its striking dining chairs (a $200 Kijiji find!), and midcentury table and lamps with little brass accents.
