Neutral territory

There's something so light and effortless about Jarlath Mellett's Manhattan loft. Bathed in all white and soft grey tones, it seems the perfect retreat from the city chaos. Very relaxed and unfussy, with a worldly well-travelled sophistication and subtle little hints of glamour throughout. There's a natural, earthy element which makes it feel very grounded.  The space doesn't read as overly masculine or feminine, just a calm neutrality.

Beautiful and inviting. I love spaces that allow you to breath and luxuriate.

I keep looking at the bed and thinking how soft and welcoming it looks. Makes we want to buy slipcovers for my bedframe.

Like the understated elegance, and love the use of caramel and so forth to add warmth in selected locations, but a bit overboard on the white... get the feeling one could lose a white dog or cat for days in that place. Overall: YES! Thanks.

Anonymous - lol! Don't think my little one could ever stay put long enough to go unnoticed for too long!
Emma + DB - completely agree, there's something I find so inviting...

Our favorite part of this space is the lighting draped above the sofa... how dreamy!

Loving color my first instinct is always to immediately add color to the walls for starters. So I would love to do an all-white room for a change. And to challenge myself I did a white post last week.

Looks like we have been thinking along the same lines. Great selections.

Cheers,

Claudia
