Buttery lemon yellow

The past few days have been something of a Springtime daydream. The afternoon sunlight cast a warm glow all around, melting away all traces of winter and flooding the streets with citrus-y sunshine. A lovely long walk down the sunny side of the street, stopping in a charming cafe and indulging in one of my most favourite treats of all - lemon tarts. I always find citrus to be such a happy, cheery flavour full of zest and life. It's almost impossible to stay blue after the first bite. Same holds true for a dose of lemony sunshine - life just seems a little better. Bring the same feeling with you wherever you go with soft, buttery shades of lemon yellow and bring in the comfort of a warm afternoon in Spring.

Such lovely post. The pictures were cheerful without being sappy. And the writing was sweet and sharp, just like your lemon tarts.

Beautifully put and demonstrated, Sharalee...such lovely images, that make me want to display some fresh lemons and bask in the sunshine...

I really enjoy all, but I think the bathroom is so inspirational. I would love to have a simple bathroom, and be able to change my decor over to this lovely palette for Spring and Summer months, especially. Thanks for the inspiration.

Sarah

LaurenNicole- thank you so much! I'm happy you think so :)

S + S - I know! I get so excited for Spring I can hardly stand it. Love warmer, even rainy Spring day - fresh buds and new leaves...

Sarah - thanks so much! I love the way a neutral space allows you the flexibility to switch things up from time to time. I think you should definitely get a bowl of fresh lemons! (Use them for lemonade later ;) )

Carol - so glad to hear you do! + excited that you're now following along! It means alot, really!
Hope you're having a lovely, lovely week!

Love a bright yellow no matter what time of year. I once heard you should have a yellow element in every room of the house, and I think there's truth to that.

Gorgeous - I have such a fondness for yellow. I don't think I can do it on the walls, as I look horrible in yellow - but I love it in small doses!
