A blue chandelier

One of the things I love about decorating in black and white is the possibility of using accents in any shade imaginable. Bright dashes of colour add a playful, fun element to the space, I love the idea of a neutral space with an unexpected surprise overhead. If lighting is the jewellery to your home, then why not make yours a big statement piece - in blue.

I dream of stumbling across a gorgeous antique like this aqua opaline chandelier. Just love the fresh colour and it's adorable smaller scale.

Ashlina - me too, I think we should do something about this!

Rachel, I'm actually not sure - will do some checking and get back to you on this :)

Caroline - so glad they won you over!

Pug1 - thank you! and what a cute little pug!

Kate - you're right you hardly see any coloured chandelier, but I say it's a refreshing change! So glad you liked them too.

I agree with you that the blue chandelier in an otherwise neutral-toned room is such a gorgeous surprise. These rooms are really stunning - thanks for putting these together. :)

What an incredible statement piece... it works so much better than some throw pillows or even a bright colored chair!
