It's hard not to be seduced by the alluring, glamorous photography of John French. I can't help but want to be the model in each photo. The 1950s and 60s were probably my all time favourite era in fashion, I'd love to dress like this everyday - beautiful dresses, hats, gloves - I could never give up the occasional jeans, of course. I love the romantic elegance of it all.

I have always wanted to wear a chic head scarf and black glasses a 'la the old stylish driving style. Yet, I seem to just look ridiculous when I try. Love the photos!

SC - I feel the same way - I want to be all sophisticated and chic, but somehow end up feeling frumpy and clumsy half the time!
